Time Whistles By

Time has whistled by,

The last few years, God sent;

Love has found its mark,

Perfection in my eye;

Joy is our pure intent;

On a breathless journey,

We embark.

Where have you been?

I’ve waited lifetimes for you;

In my arms, touch your skin;

My love pounds with this thrill

Our eyes wide, our lips sealed,

Happiness forever

This happiness is real.

The present finds us here,

A new day, a new joy

When eyes are laid on you;

A smile wipes away fear,

Your heart, my new envoy;

A vessel good and true.

Where have you been?

I’ve waited lifetimes for you;

In my arms, touch your skin;

My love pounds with this thrill

Our eyes wide, our lips sealed,

Happiness forever

This happiness is real.

The future tumbles out,

Excited anxiety,

For us, what will it bring?

Past, present, there is no

Doubt;

Love’s future, sanity,

Our reward, this song I sing.

Where have you been?

I’ve waited lifetimes for you;

In my arms, touch your skin;

My love pounds with this thrill

Our eyes wide, our lips sealed,

Happiness forever

This happiness is real.
