Lives Intertwined

Pretty smiles and coy glances,
Beaming from beneath those eyes;
Speak to the mystere of chance,
As two lives dance in the blend

Friends, is a powerful start
For two born of the same womb;
Though the horse before the cart
Would surely spell likely doom.

Fate decides the lives and loves-
From the heartaches and heartbreaks,
To all the wrongs that one does;
Left all alone in the end.

Alone but never lonely
For the heart does beckon still
To be loved- purely, simply;
Knowing each day it will last

Waking up each day smiling;
At night, the head goes to rest
Knowing two hearts uniting-
Thus, the cycle starts again

And while the fates may portend;
Further hurt and unknown fears-
Things we do not comprehend
Hearts and minds stay open still.

For to let that inkling pass;
Scares the hardiest heart-
When looking back at the chance
Lost, when love was but a bud .

For now it is left with room;
To grow, to reach up and out,
Winding its way we assume,
To find a final destiny.
