Early in life, mistakes are made,
From which one must recover;
My father has claimed his fair share,
As seen in every gray hair;
Few greater men have passed through
life-
Witness his father’s fathers;
Many more were lesser still-
His transformation is fulfilled.
Youth still resides within his soul.
A bold heart and stronger will;
Time has tempered his once quick
hands;
Better to sate his child’s demands.
In his eyes, a look of kind love;
In his air, a sense of calm;
A new purpose now fills his life;
A need to make old wrongs right.
He loves his children more each day;
He lives his life with honor;
His wit quick, humor infectious;
He has become the man I aspire to be! |
